Performing Arts and Theaters in Medford
Oregon
The choices for performing arts in Medford and the surrounding
Rogue Valley are many. Southern Oregon attracts many different
types of artists. From Ashland, where the artists shops and
performances resemble the atmosphere in Monterey and Big Sur,
California to Medford where the atmosphere is more like New
York City or Paris, the choices for any taste in the arts are
all in the Rogue Valley area. The Southern Oregon Center of
Performing Arts is in the old town area, known for small boutiques
and antique and curio shops with a big city flair. The center
promotes local and international music, theater productions,
Broadway shows, children’s shows, dance productions, lectures
and many other diverse programs all directed at high cultural
enjoyment. The performing arts center is in a beautiful old
lovingly restored building that gives you the feeling of participating
in a performance that was put on long ago. The décor is romantic
and imparts a feeling of sharing an adventure in past experiences.
